Pixel art drawing: Yucca

Yucca

Yucca gigantea (elephantipes)

  • Cat: mildly toxic
  • Dog: mildly toxic
  • Light: full sun

About the plant

The yucca sold as a houseplant is usually the spineless yucca from Central America, with soft leaves and no spines. Its thick trunk stores water, so it forgives a forgotten watering but not a soaking. It likes the sun and grows well on a balcony in summer.

Rather too dry than too wet: the thick trunk stores water. In summer it can stand on a balcony in full sun.

This is a rough guide for a flat in Poland. In flowers every plant also has its own watering interval, which learns from how the soil was.
